Questions

What JSON can it convert?

An array of objects gives one row per object. One object gives a single row, and an array of arrays is written row by row: [[1, 2], [3, 4]] gives 1,2 / 3,4.

Which columns appear, and in what order?

One column per key, in the order the keys first appear (keys that are whole numbers come first, as in JavaScript); a row without a key leaves that cell empty: [{"a": 1}, {"b": 2}] gives a,b / 1, / ,2.

Are numbers kept exactly?

Yes. Every number is written with the digits the JSON has, so IDs aren’t rounded and amounts keep their zeros: {"id": 12345678901234567890, "price": 1.50} gives id,price / 12345678901234567890,1.50.

Will Excel show accents correctly?

The downloaded .csv starts with a byte-order mark, which tells Excel on Windows to read it as UTF-8, so accents and other non-Latin text come through. Copy gives the text without it, for pasting elsewhere.

Is my data sent anywhere?

No. It’s converted in your browser, and a file you open is read there too. It isn’t sent to our servers, put into the page address or saved.
